I'm Lee and as well as a partner at Able Canines I am also the trainer and behaviourist. I have diplomas in dog training, canine psychology, pet sitting and dog walking. I have a Golden Retriever, two Labradors and a springer spaniel at home and my love for dogs extends to all shapes, sizes and breeds. I have had dogs in my life for a long time now and cannot imagine life without them.
My background is in health and social care and I have worked with people from all walks of life with all manners of issues and disabilities. I wanted to work with dogs for many years and experienced all kinds of training with my own dogs before I qualified and started the training myself. |
I’m Sarah, I am also a partner at Able Canines. I have a diploma in pet sitting and dog walking and an NVQ level 4 in business management. I work mainly with the boarding, day care and walking services and am responsible for much of the marketing, business management, development and general administration.
My background is also social care but, having grown up in a farming family, have always had a passion for dogs and in the future would enjoy learning some holistic and alternative therapies for dogs. |
I’m Amy, I work on the walking service, I love all animals but of course particularly dogs. I am a qualified photographer and zoologist, I worked for several years as a zoo keeper so have lots of experience working with animals of all shapes and sizes. I love my job and really enjoy seeing all the dogs day to day.
I’m Ralph and I’m Top Dog. I’ve been with Able Canines since the very beginning, as well as having lots of fun with the dogs boarding or on day care I help with training and behaviour. I have years of experience working with dogs that need a little help and understanding particularly with social experience. I’ve grown up helping with the boarding and day care so am always a friendly face to greet any dogs coming for their holiday or even just for the day.
I’m Teddy and I’m chief bed tester. I used to help with the training and behaviour too but have elbow dysplasia in both front legs now, so have retired from that role and just help out on the home boarding, day care and sometimes walking services. I have grown up since puppy doing the day care and boarding so am well used to welcoming dogs into our home and am always happy to have a play if required.

I’m Laura, I work part time behind the scenes for Able Canines on admin and social media. I love everything dog and really enjoy being part of the team caring for so many furry friends. I also have 2 black Labradors of my own. Administration is my background and I would love to one day be working more hands on with the dogs.
I’m Steph, I also work on the walking service. I love dogs and have 2 cocker spaniels at home. My background is in retail but have always wanted to work with dogs so jumped at the opportunity to join the team. I really enjoy working with all the dogs and never get bored of seeing them all run, play and have fun with each other. I’m Alfie, I’m chief treat tester and second in command. I was rescued from a less than desirable situation but am now very happy and always enjoy the company of other dogs coming to stay with us. I help on the day care, home boarding and the walking service and because of my past experiences can understand when another dog is a little nervous and use my own experience to help make them feel welcome and more confident.
I’m Tilly but everyone calls me Beans and I’m chief ball finder. I was rescued when I was 9 months old, I am now very happy and always full of energy and will never say no to a run and play. I also help with training and behaviour, I am currently doing my search dog training and really love the challenge and always work hard. I look forward to my friends coming to stay and am always welcoming and open to any new friends too.
